Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you offer a Medicare rebate on your services?

Medicare EPC will be available in early 2024, please check in later to see if this has changed.

  • Do you treat Worker’s Compensation claims?

NEOstream is not currently treating worker’s compensation claims. We do treat work-based injuries via private payments.

  • Do you need a follow-up appointment?

Just like with in-person appointments, your physiotherapist will decide if you need a follow-up based on your injury or condition. In the review appointment, our physiotherapist will check your progress, adjust exercises if necessary, and set new treatment goals moving forward.

  • Do you offer private health insurance rebate?

For Australian and United Kingdom-based clients, please contact your health insurance provider to see if they cover the full or partial cost of our services.

NEOstream can provide an invoice for the appointment upon request, which you can share with your health insurance to determine our eligibility for your private health insurance rebate.

Once we open up our services to more countries, we can offer the same to you if this doesn’t currently apply due to your base location.

  • Who can access your services?

At this point, we are primarily providing our services to those based in Australia or the United Kingdom. Unfortunately, some countries/ regions can only be treated by local physiotherapists - both via telehealth or face-to-face. If you are unsure if you can be legally seen from your country, please book an appointment so you don’t miss out on your preferred time, and contact us and we will advise on whether you can book an appointment with us. If we cannot provide our service to you, you will receive a refund and we can assist in directing you to the appropriate health practitioner in your area.

  • How does an online appointment work?

Before your appointment, we'll send you an email with a secure software link for the online call. When it's time, our physiotherapist will initiate an encrypted video chat on your laptop, computer or smartphone. For the best experience, we suggest being in a quiet space with enough room to demonstrate any activities you may be having difficulty with.

We will discuss your intake form and possibly run through movements or exercises to effectively examine your injury or signs of injury. Depending on what you need, our physiotherapist will either provide verbal advice or send via email treatment programs or exercises to incorporate into your day-to-day activities.

  • What conditions are suitable for online physiotherapy?

We can effectively address common issues like lower back pain, knee pain, sprained ankles, or shoulder pain - both chronic and new pain, through online appointments. As well as, but not limited to, other musculoskeletal issues, post-operative recovery, sports injuries and neurological conditions. Through the video call platform, our skilled physiotherapist can guide you through an assessment. They'll determine if your concern requires further investigation or can be managed with advice provided through our services. Most commonly, the issues and conditions mentioned above can be easily treated through our online appointments.

To determine the suitability of NEOstream for your specific condition, book an “initial appointment” then complete our intake form and our team can confirm whether our services are appropriate.
